I am a retired corporate instructor and for the past ten years a professor at New York University (NYU). Education has been a lifelong passion which I pursue, in part, by tutoring individual students from late middle school through college. I'm married and have three grown children and a couple of very special grandchildren.

Every student has his or her own learning strengths and weaknesses. A Good teacher is able to discern those strengths and weaknesses, and tailor the lessons to match the student's optimal learning method. I try to determine the student's learning strengths and weaknesses as part of my tutoring effort, so that the student can get the most out of our sessions.

I believe everybody can learn something new. The key is to find the right teacher, which is the student. Teach someone how to ask the right questions, and watch them unlock the mysteries of the Universe. Or, at least, crack the nut of an A paper.
