At LSU, I received my Master of Arts in Communication Disorders with a concentration and thesis on feeding and swallowing disorders within the pediatric population, in particular premature babies. During my time at both LSU and UTD, I tutored in various capacities. I was a teaching assistant for a Statistics class for 5 semesters at UTD. At LSU, I tutored student athletes for 15 months in various subjects. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Math. In my experience helping students (elementary-college), Math always seems to be a subject where students have a mental block. It is always a pleasure to get through that block and break (seemingly) complex problems into their parts and then watch the student work through the problem on their own. I am a strong believer in continued learning throughout life and try to instill this drive within my students. While in Russia, I taught English for children of migrant families, and in Istanbul, Turkey, I continued my ESL teaching for Syrian refugees.
