Algebra Tutoring review by Patricia in Salt Lake County, UT
The student and I worked on the concept of arithmetic sequences, scatter plots, and linear transformations. These are concepts expected to be covered on his next test. I did identify issues with his skills with adding and subtracting signed numbers. Therefore, we will work on this concept each session.

Algebra Tutoring review by Elissa in Salt Lake County, UT
The student completed a homework assignment for solving systems by elimination. She did a great job, and I was thrilled to see her use the chart that I made for her in a previous session to determine what kind of solution the system would have. We discussed her test that is due tomorrow, and she feels very confident based on the review that was done in class. If she needs help studying, she will contact me to meet tomorrow morning.

Algebra Tutoring review by Stephanie in Salt Lake County, UT
The student completed her sixteenth tutoring session aimed at improving her algebra skills and providing her with homework support. During the session, she and the tutor focused on completing a study guide for her upcoming algebra exam over functions. Specifically, the study guide consisted of a comprehensive review of the material that would be covered on the exam. She was initially asked to solve each problem independently. If she solved an item incorrectly, she was asked to work out the problem on the whiteboard so that tutor could point out her errors and guide her toward the correct solution. She demonstrated a positive attitude toward learning and a high degree of motivation throughout the course of the session. Overall, she performed extremely well on the review, which suggests that she will earn a high score on her algebra test. As homework, she was asked to review for her upcoming algebra test at least one more time prior to the exam.

Algebra Tutoring review by Diana in Salt Lake County, UT
The student continues to work on functions. she is having a little bit of trouble, as many do, transitioning from the y=mx+b format to the f(x) and g(x) format, but she is getting it. A lot of the problems were about x and y intercepts, which she has done before using x and y, but now the questions are phrased in terms of x and f(x). She is coming along nicely!

Algebra Tutoring review by Regina in Salt Lake County, UT
The student covered homework on one and two step equations and moved into the multi step equations advancing into the new concept. She has a very good foundation and we will move ahead on the concepts so that she will stay ahead of her assignment. I left her extra practice for solving multi step equations.
