I am currently studying at Brigham Young University after graduating from High School in Pennsylvania. I am a high school graduate working towards a BS in Finance and possibly an MBA down the road.
Over the past couple of semesters I have gone from helping students with homework to an official volunteer tutor through our campus's tutoring program called YServe. I volunteered there for the past semester before deciding to do it as a job.
I tutor Introductory Business and Economics classes as well as SAT/ACT prep. I especially enjoy tutoring Economics because I enjoy the subject and a lot of times students just need to think about things a new way to understand it easily.
My teaching philosophy is that the biggest key to learning is just getting in the right mindset. Being willing and excited to learn and then understanding what the question is really looking for are the keys to success in almost every subject.
Other interests I have include football and basketball. I also play piano and enjoy listening to a variety of music. I also enjoy reading philosophical books when I have time.
