What is your teaching philosophy?

The world is a fascinating place, and it enriches our lives to learn more interesting things every day. Learning is hardest (for me at least) when we have not yet seen how the material is relevant or interesting. When I teach, I try to make the material as accessible and relevant as possible to the student. When students need to struggle a little bit to learn material, the understanding is much deeper.
