Growing up in one of the most densely populated places in the world has always played a big role in my life. Beyond anything, education was of the utmost importance. However, I still enjoyed school and was unaware of the amount of pressure or the competition around me. Mathematics was always my favorite subject and occupied most of my time. This love of mathematics led to my teaching mathematics as well. To further my career and personal goals I have decided to continue my education by pursuing a doctorate degree. And to gain more experience I am interested in becoming a tutor at varsity. At my university, I worked as a teaching assistant at the math lab. There I gained multi-cultural teaching experience. I assisted students with their work, helped professors and proctored classes. Working both as a TA and an RA gave me practical experience and a higher level of responsibility. I was also active on campus and a member of the math club. After graduating, I started teaching at universities and colleges. I have been employed for almost two years and have been teaching both developmental and undergraduate courses. Teaching students has been my greatest educational experience. It is both challenging and interesting to teach students from different ethnic and educational backgrounds. Teaching and tutoring mathematics has given me a much deeper knowledge of the theories and concepts that I have learned. Teaching these young individuals has taught me so much. Our daily interactions have been not only enjoyable but in some ways eye opening. Every student is a person with their own ideas and experiences. I want to enhance my experience by doing more tutoring both in-person and online. Doing this would be fulfilling and meaningful to me. Thank you for considering my application.

I am a graduate of The University Of Maryland (with a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Management) and of Fuller Theological Seminary (with a Master of Arts in Theology). For the past 37 years, I have devoted my life to Christian service among the poor and diverse communities in Guatemala, California, and Oklahoma City.I especially enjoy teaching English (ESL/ELL), Spanish, and History. My focus in teaching is to help students achieve their goals and to expand their skills for a more productive life. As a teacher, I introduce my students to balance the more advanced questions of each subject with the practical need to focus on the main points.

I spend most of my day working with first year college students get adjusted to life in higher education. My undergraduate and graduate degrees are in Business, and I am working towards a Master of Arts in Education as well. I think that learning can be fun and anyone can be successful at school, and enjoy helping students realize that it is how well they explain what they know that can make all the difference. I have been previously certified to teach US and World History in Oklahoma, and I work with students on their writing skills daily. I enjoy teaching and helping others achieve their goals.

I am a people-loving, intelligent, hard-working young lady with a heart to always do my best at whatever I am doing. I love writing, helping people, and working with kids of all ages (even the full grown ones!).

I recently graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma with a Bachelor's in Biology. Although math was not my major, it is and always has been my favorite subject. I have been tutoring since my freshman year in high school. I have worked with students of a variety of age groups ranging from elementary school students to college students. I have enjoyed working with all of them. As a tutor, I believe that each student has a unique learning style. I like to familiarize myself with the learning styles of my students and then steer my teaching methods in that direction. I love working with children. Just to think that they learned something because of me is reward enough. It's a fulfilling feeling. I am very patient. I like to help people think outside the box. I ask a lot of questions because I know that's how people will learn. I also try to answer questions in different ways I hope I am able to help those students out there who are struggling with math.

Since graduation, I have served as a Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, K-5 Computer Science Teacher. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Reading, Math, Video Editing, Computer Science, and using Minecraft Education Edition. I believe fostering interest in education is critical for any age. In education, we should use things children are interested in to hook them. For example, using Minecraft Education Edition to teach Computer Science or learning video editing by copying YouTube videos.

I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) in May 2020 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. My major was in energy economics with a finance concentration. Throughout my academic years at UCO, I was named to the President's Honor Roll list.I was also awarded several honors and awards. Some of the awards I received include the Michael Metzger Memorial Endowed Scholarship and the Economic Club of Oklahoma Scholarship. Both of these awards were considered to be the most prestigious award that can be awarded to an undergraduate economic student at UCO.Furthermore, I was also honored to have been chosen to join the International Business Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma in 2018. Invitations to this society were only given to the top 10% of undergraduate students at an AACSB accredited business school.Later on, I was chosen to represent the UCO College of Business to participate in the Broncho Business Leader Program. Students were selected for this program based on their academic achievement and their desire to grow in their leadership skills.I look forward to helping students achieve the grades they dream of. I strongly believe that every student has the capability of succeeding as long as the syllabus/lesson is delivered with passion and patience.

My objective is to work with pride as a tutor/professor helping students find creativity, confidence, and communication skills within themselves; while also fulfilling my job duties in a responsible, organized manner.
