Hi there! I am Andres Gomez, and I am currently a 2nd year medical student (MD) aspiring to become a psychiatrist or emergency medicine physician. I've gone from being an film-maker to med student, adapting to science knowledge along the way, and I look forward to helping you learn too!

My objective is to work with pride as a tutor/professor helping students find creativity, confidence, and communication skills within themselves; while also fulfilling my job duties in a responsible, organized manner. I want to promote lifetime learning to all my students, and to be a creative outlet that fosters art appreciation and representation throughout the community.

I received my Bachelor of Musical Arts with a secondary emphasis in Spanish from the University of Oklahoma in December 2017. I also studied a Masters in Spanish Language Education from Fall 2018 to Summer 2019 while working as an English Language assistant in a public school.As a teacher and as a learner. I know to break down long-term aspirations into manageable, short-term goals. I also know what it takes to effectively prepare for testing. As an ACT tutor, I take a two-pronged approach. On one end, the students get a high volume of practice problems, adapting to and reviewing the content of each subject. On the other end is strategy-oriented coaching. The students learn how to effectively approach the test with good timing and prioritization. I also enjoy tutoring a variety of other subjects, such as Spanish.I think being an effective learner and student (in and beyond the context of schooling) is integral part of human life. It is my aim as a tutor and teacher to help students learn how to effectively learn for themselves.I love running, cooking, traveling, playing chamber music, and gaming.

I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) in May 2020 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. My major was in energy economics with a finance concentration. Throughout my academic years at UCO, I was named to the President's Honor Roll list.I was also awarded several honors and awards. Some of the awards I received include the Michael Metzger Memorial Endowed Scholarship and the Economic Club of Oklahoma Scholarship. Both of these awards were considered to be the most prestigious award that can be awarded to an undergraduate economic student at UCO.Furthermore, I was also honored to have been chosen to join the International Business Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma in 2018. Invitations to this society were only given to the top 10% of undergraduate students at an AACSB accredited business school.Later on, I was chosen to represent the UCO College of Business to participate in the Broncho Business Leader Program. Students were selected for this program based on their academic achievement and their desire to grow in their leadership skills.I look forward to helping students achieve the grades they dream of. I strongly believe that every student has the capability of succeeding as long as the syllabus/lesson is delivered with passion and patience.

I'm a native French speaker and I live in Oklahoma City. I have degrees in French and International Relations from the University of Central Oklahoma, and I have been tutoring at the same university for 4 years. I have also been Supplemental instructor of French as well as Teaching Assistant.I am ETL certified; and not only I am exceptionally innovative in my work, I have possessed the knowledge and competence to facilitate the learning process.

Learning can be fun and rewarding, and I would love to help students find meaning in their school work! I just graduated with my doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and love working directly with students. All students have the ability to succeed with good instruction and multiple learning touches. Arjun Reddy (he/him/his). Howdy! I graduated cum laude with a Bachelors in Neuroscience and Pre-Med. I am currently in graduate school pursuing my Master's. I tutored all types of students in Chemistry, Physics, and Math. I tutored privately in high-school mostly to middle-schoolers and other high schoolers in science and math. In college I tutored students through the university's tutoring center for three years before tutoring privately again in my last year. I've seen students who've never taken a course before to those who are coming back to school after working or serving in the military.While in high-school I realized I had a knack for explaining subjects and concepts in many different ways, often relating them to students in new analogies or different aspects. In this way I was able to communicate concepts, thoughts, and material more effectively. I've always been the type to help out other students in need and am often the person people reach out to for quick tips. The way I have advanced and polished this trait and the techniques I use over my college years as a tutor working for both the university as well as privately.I like to ask my students questions to see how much and what they know before diving into problems. When we do problems, I like to work a few out with a student and explain what I'm doing in each step and why. Then I slowly hand the reigns off to the student to work through the problems more and more independently while explaining back to me what they're doing. This way I know the student is learning the material properly and will be able to work without my help in the future. Of course this method can be adjusted to fit each students individual needs.I'm always excited when I see a student's eyes light up with the excitement of learning a new concept or finally being able to solve a problem they couldn't before. I like the challenge of hard questions and explaining hard concepts. I'm easy to reach and respond relatively quickly so don't hesitate to shoot me a line!

I spend most of my day working with first year college students get adjusted to life in higher education. My undergraduate and graduate degrees are in Business, and I am working towards a Master of Arts in Education as well. I think that learning can be fun and anyone can be successful at school, and enjoy helping students realize that it is how well they explain what they know that can make all the difference. I have been previously certified to teach US and World History in Oklahoma, and I work with students on their writing skills daily. I enjoy teaching and helping others achieve their goals.

Growing up in one of the most densely populated places in the world has always played a big role in my life. Beyond anything, education was of the utmost importance. However, I still enjoyed school and was unaware of the amount of pressure or the competition around me. Mathematics was always my favorite subject and occupied most of my time. This love of mathematics led to my teaching mathematics as well. To further my career and personal goals I have decided to continue my education by pursuing a doctorate degree. And to gain more experience I am interested in becoming a tutor at varsity. At my university, I worked as a teaching assistant at the math lab. There I gained multi-cultural teaching experience. I assisted students with their work, helped professors and proctored classes. Working both as a TA and an RA gave me practical experience and a higher level of responsibility. I was also active on campus and a member of the math club. After graduating, I started teaching at universities and colleges. I have been employed for almost two years and have been teaching both developmental and undergraduate courses. Teaching students has been my greatest educational experience. It is both challenging and interesting to teach students from different ethnic and educational backgrounds. Teaching and tutoring mathematics has given me a much deeper knowledge of the theories and concepts that I have learned. Teaching these young individuals has taught me so much. Our daily interactions have been not only enjoyable but in some ways eye opening. Every student is a person with their own ideas and experiences.
