I am most recently a graduate of Baylor University. I received my Education Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction in Leadership and Organizational Change. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English and my Master of Arts in English from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. I have taught in Texas' public schools for 15 years, teaching Science, Social Studies, and English from 6th grade to 12th grade. In that time, I have taught students whose primary language is a language other than English, students with learning disabilities, and students who are neurodivergent. I have also taught university underclassmen and community college students dual enrollment. I have served as an AP English Language and AP English Literature grader. I enjoy helping to prepare students for rigorous courses such as Advanced Placement and standardized tests, such as the SAT. My goal is to provide the tools and environment needed by each student to reach their full potential. Every student comes to a subject or a challenge with strengths, as an educator it is my calling and responsibility to help the students employ those strengths to support new learning. Each student has the potential to be a world changer, they just need the opportunity. In my spare time, I enjoy reading which enriches any life, creating blankets and stuffed animals with yarn through crochet and knitting, and exercising my two Great Danes.
