I recently received my Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology as well as History of Science, Medicine, and Technology at Johns Hopkins University. At Hopkins I pursued a diverse course load, which allows me to tutor students in a variety of disciplines. I am most suited to tutor science courses such as Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Science but also have a strong background in Mathematics through the Calculus level.
I have extensive experience tutoring high school students, both while I was a high school student and while I was at college in Baltimore. I have found that the most successful approach to learning is through communicative and collaborative work. First and foremost, students should understand subjects taught in the classroom through review of homework and exams. Next, students should be able to apply that knowledge to new questions to ensure a complete understanding of any subject matter. I look forward to achieving academic and personal success with the students!
