With over 20 years of attending school regularly, receiving a free public school education, and making every effort to achieve in all areas of my education, I know what it means to be a successful teacher.
My teaching career encompasses substantial student diversity, including elementary, middle school, and college students from different cultural backgrounds, both one-on-one and in classroom setting. In several instances, students were in my class only because they were required to take it. In spite of this, I succeeded in instilling in many of them a respect for the subject and a grasp of the fundamental principals. Because of my technical experience, I am comfortable using a combination of technology and traditional teaching methods to communicate mathematical concepts to students and have successfully done so throughout the past few years.
I firmly believe that every child is entitled to an enriching education, respect, and professionalism. My goals are to motivate students in ascertaining their inner strength, abilities and activities that truly inspire them. I aim to provide a stimulating learning environment that fosters confidence and encourages children to reach their full potential. I take the responsibilities of an educator very seriously and will work hard to develop mutual trust and respect from the administration.
Along with my skills, I will bring a creative, positive energy to your school, accompanied by a desire and willingness to work with others to achieve a common goal. With strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills, I am confident that I am a strong math tutor.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas. There are three elements that I believe are conducive to establishing such an environment, (1) the teacher acting as a guide, (2) allowing the child's natural curiosity to direct his/her learning, and (3) promoting respect for all things and all people.
