No matter where you are in your GRE prep, Varsity Tutors can help you get set up in a Tampa GRE class that may be a great addition to your preparation process. Thousands of colleges and universities accept scores from the Graduate Record Examinations, or GRE. It is taken by current students or working professionals who are applying to graduate or law schools. If you are preparing to take the GRE, you will need to have a comprehensive and useful study plan.
If you need help beginning the study process, or you want to take your current test prep process to the next level, a Tampa GRE prep course could be just what you need. If you do choose this method of study, you will get the help of a qualified instructor in a virtual classroom. The GRE courses that Varsity Tutors can set you up in give you a look into the content as well as the format of the exam.
Since your score on the GRE will be a crucial factor during the admissions process to places such as the University of Tampa and the University of South Florida, you will want to do your best. It is essential to adequately prepare for the exam because the admissions board will use your results to gauge how well-prepared you are to attend their facility. The test has three sections and will demonstrate your abilities in many areas to the schools you apply to.
What topics and skills could a Tampa GRE class help me learn?
The GRE has three main sections, including Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. You will find multiple-choice, numeric entry, reading comprehension, and other question formats on the test. You will have approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes to complete the exam from start to finish. You will need to know a wide variety of skills and content, so finding the right help is vital. A Tampa GRE course is a great way to get the help you need. Now, we will dive into the sections of the exam in more detail.
The Verbal Reasoning section will measure your ability to draw conclusions from and analyze material. It consists of two sections that have 20 questions each. You will have a total of 60 minutes to complete this section. Your score will range from 130-170. You will face reading comprehension questions based on a given passage, text completion questions that require you to choose from 3-5 solutions based on what you read, and sentence equivalence questions that give you six choices per blank to choose from.
The Quantitative Reasoning part of the test will measure your ability to interpret, understand, and analyze quantitative information; apply basic math, geometry, and algebra concepts; and solve problems using mathematical models. This section also has two parts of 20 questions each that must be completed in one hour and 10 minutes. Again, you will be scored from 130-170.
You will also face the Analytical Writing section. This section will measure your analytical writing and critical thinking skills. You will have two tasks that must be completed within a 60-minute time limit. Your score will range from 0-6 depending on how well you do.
Also, the GRE may have an unscored Experimental section. You will not know which sections are scored and which is not, so you will want to do your best on every question you answer. Additionally, there could be a Research section. This will be identified, and it is optional.

...I thought I'd start by following what I'm enthusiastic about. My experience in those classes showed me a darker side of those studies: books like Middlemarch and debugging. Ugh. I found my philosophy class, which I took as part of the core curriculum, to be far more interesting. So I followed that passion to three (I'm m still working on the third) graduate degrees. The first was an M.A. in Philosophy from Texas Tech University...
