I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota. I received three degrees there-Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and Master of Public Health. Since graduation, I have practiced veterinary medicine in small animal private practice, shelter medicine, laboratory animal medicine, and high volume spay/neuter. I am also an adjunct instructor and have lectured for nursing students, veterinary students, and veterinary technician students. I am most passionate about zoonotic diseases and One Health but love to tutor on a broad variety of scientific subjects.
I believe in a growth mindset-that our struggles and challenges are opportunities for us to become stronger. We can learn at any age and work our brain like a muscle (even though it technically isn't). In my spare time, I like to spend time outdoors, travel, cook, dance, and read. I have a little dog named Katie that I rescued in 2020 and she has been an amazing addition to my life.
