What Could A Miami GMAT Course Help Me Review?
Your GMAT is broken down into four sections, each with different time limits and scoring ranges. The Analytical Writing Assessment is comprised of just one question, and you'll have just 30 minutes to write an argument analysis. Integrated Reasoning comes next, comprising of 12 questions, and the time limit for this section is also 30 minutes. You'll have just over an hour to complete the next section, which is Quantitative Reasoning. The GMAT wraps up with Verbal Reasoning, and this section has a time limit of 65 minutes. A Miami GMAT course could help you understand exactly what you need to do in order to feel comfortable on all of these four sections.
It's interesting to note that you don't necessarily have to take your GMAT in that specific order. For example, you could choose to take the Verbal Reasoning or Quantitative Reasoning first instead of the Analytical Writing Assessment. That being said, there are some limitations to this. For example, you'll always be required to take the Analytical Writing Assessment at either the beginning or the end of your GMAT.
Speaking of the Analytical Writing Assessment, this is definitely one area which requires significant preparation. Certain aspects of your essay will be evaluated solely by a computerized system, such as the overall structure and certain linguistic features. Human evaluators will grade things like your actual argument, the quality of your writing, and the organization of your essay.
As you'll learn in your Miami GMAT course, planning is incredibly important when it comes to the Analytical Writing Assessment. You'll need to learn how to plan out a detailed response to the provided argument, and organize the structure of your essay before actually writing it. Planning out each idea and point is one of the keys to success in the Analytical Writing Assessment.
Integrated Reasoning evaluates your ability to synthesize information in a variety of different formats. You'll be looking at data, text, and graphics in order to solve detailed problems. You'll also be tackling two-part analyses, such as trade-offs, simultaneous equations, and more. This is a very challenging section, and your Miami GMAT course instructor will likely go into serious depth here.
Quantitative Reasoning is one of two multiple-choice sections in your GMAT. You'll have 62 minutes to complete 31 questions, giving you an average of two minutes per question. For the most part, these multiple-choice questions are divided into two different topics: problem-solving and data sufficiency. Problem-solving topics are pretty straightforward, as you'll simply choose the best response from five options. On the other hand, data sufficiency is all about figuring out when you have enough information to actually solve a problem. A Miami GMAT class could help you develop the skills and tactics needed to excel in this multiple-choice section.
Verbal Reasoning is another challenging multiple-choice aspect of the GMAT, and you'll have 65 minutes to complete 36 questions. The topics covered in this section are reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and sentence correction. You'll answer questions about written passages, evaluate arguments, identify proper grammar, and much more. With a little help from a Miami GMAT class taught by an expert instructor, you'll understand what it takes to succeed in this section.
How Do Miami GMAT Classes Help Me Prepare?
One of the best things about a Miami GMAT class is that it's completely online. This level of convenience and accessibility helps you study anywhere in the world, and you'll still enjoy all the benefits of a classroom setting. Even though a virtual classroom setting is an effective collaborative learning environment, you'll also have the opportunity to work one-on-one with your instructor if you feel like you need a little extra help. Classes start weekly, so you won't have to wait long to get started. You'll also get to choose between either a two-week course or a four-week course. These classes are extremely flexible, and they're perfect for anyone with a busy schedule.
So what does a typical session look like? Each time you enter your virtual classroom, an expert instructor will cover important topics pertaining to your GMAT. You'll have the chance to interact, ask questions, and tackle problems that you would face during the real test. These classes are designed to give you more than enough practice for your GMAT, so it'll feel like second nature when you take the test in a real setting. The cool thing about these interactive lessons is that you'll be learning alongside other students. They might ask questions that you never thought to ask, giving you more insight than if you'd studied alone. And if you're still not quite grasping the concepts, you can always work with your instructor in a one-on-one setting.
