I am a special education teacher in Bronx, NY. I teach 10-12 graders in all core subjects. I know that every person has their own unique talents. It is up to me to learn what your strengths are so that we can maximize them while hiding any shortcomings.

Especially with younger kids, it can be easy just to tell them, but letting them do the work allows them to grow faster than simply telling them how to get the answer. ...I personally like to deconstruct problems in to smaller chunks and explain each part individually. Then, we will put them all back together and come up with a solid solution.
