Whether you need to fulfill your language requirements as a student at the University of Central Florida or you simply want to improve your Spanish, Varsity Tutors offers an Orlando Spanish course that will suit your needs. Learning a second language can be difficult, and even though high schools such as Dr. Phillips High School and Freedom High School do offer courses in Spanish, they don't always encompass all of the difficulties you might face while learning the language. For example, a typical high school or college Spanish course will teach almost everything you need to know about grammar and basic vocabulary, but it might not provide you with many opportunities to practice your Spanish-speaking skills in conversation. On the other hand, an Orlando Spanish course can provide you with plenty of chances to converse with students who are at your level as well as with a qualified instructor.
Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, second only to Mandarin Chinese. It is also the second most spoken language in the United States. There are more than 430 million native Spanish speakers in the world, and it is the official language of around 20 countries including Spain, Peru, Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, Guatemala, and other nations in Central and South America. It is also the most studied language in the United States not just because it is so widely spoken, but because it is considered one of the easiest languages for a native English speaker to learn. The grammar and sentence structure are different from English, but they are simple enough for a native English speaker to grasp. Taking the time to learn Spanish will give you the opportunity to make new friends, learn about new cultures, and do business with a huge population of people both in the US and abroad. It's endlessly useful to learn while you're traveling, living abroad, or job hunting, and it might give you an advantage if you ever want to learn other Romance language such as French and Italian. Like Spanish, many of the words in those languages are derived from Latin, so some of the words in those languages will no doubt sound familiar if you've learned any amount of Spanish.
What Material Will an Orlando Spanish Course Cover?
All languages have nuances that make them difficult to learn, and Spanish is no exception. Even though it's considered one of the easier languages for English speakers to learn, a lot of students still struggle with many of the rules when they differ from what they know about their own language. For example, Spanish is a gender-based language, which means nouns are considered masculine or feminine. The general rule is that nouns that end in "o" are masculine, while nouns that end in "a" are feminine. Adjectives that are used to describe nouns also change to match their gender. This is actually similar to German, French, and Russian, but it isn't the case for English. To make matters even more confusing for non-Spanish speakers, there are exceptions to these rules that simply need to be memorized. An Orlando Spanish course can help you learn these rules and better understand how the Spanish language works.
Of course, an Orlando Spanish class can teach you more than just how gendered nouns work. The instructors of these Spanish classes can teach you about vocabulary, written accents, verb conjugation, and pronunciation, all of which are vital to communicating in Spanish. Many of these rules are easier than they are in English, but many students still struggle with them simply because they are so different from what they know about their native languages. Additionally, an Orlando Spanish class can teach you about the history of the Spanish language and the cultures of the many people who speak it.
How Can an Orlando Spanish Class Help Me Learn?
An Orlando Spanish class is taught entirely online in an interactive virtual classroom and led by an expert instructor. You will be able to see and interact with your classmates and instructor, so you will be able to engage in learning activities and practice your Spanish in conversation. This kind of immersion can help you pick up Spanish quickly, even if you've done well in previous classes and have a good handle on the vocabulary and grammar. It might also give you the chance to help classmates who are struggling with the more challenging concepts. They will learn along with you simply by having conversations in Spanish. Depending on the skill level of your class, your instructor might choose to teach the entire class in Spanish.
If you are the type of student who learns better from one-on-one instruction, you will be happy to know that our Spanish courses allow you to reserve some private time with a Spanish instructor if you are struggling with certain concepts. We know that students all learn in different ways and at different rates, and we want to provide them with every opportunity they need to better understand the material.
Because our Spanish courses are entirely online, you won't have to worry about making a long commute or missing a class due to illness. You can take these classes from the comfort of your own living room or wherever you have an Internet connection. The courses are also offered in multiple sections with new sections beginning monthly so you will be able to find a course that fits into your own schedule. You will also be able to choose between a two-week course or a four-week course.
How Do I Sign Up for an Orlando Spanish Course?

...College and enjoyed getting to know the students & expanding their understanding of the Spanish language & the Latin American culture. I had the privilege of studying in Spain during my Junior year, which deepened my appreciation for the roots of the language. I worked as a Spanish/English interpreter for the Orange County courts as my Summer job during those years. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share what I learned.... Total immersion in a subject teaches any of us best. This is particularly true of language. Our brains naturally decode the language that is spoken around us: if we are present and we listen, we WILL learn. Rarely, if ever, does life allow complete immersion into a particular subject matter. However, with focus and continued exposure (practice) the language code becomes our own and expression in that language becomes natural. Natural expression, using a new skill set or lesson, is the ultimate goal of education. Our world, or, our horizon, then broadens, as do our opportunities.
