Varsity Tutors would be happy to help you get started with a private Milwaukee USMLE tutor or an online course that can help you prepare for the exam. The USMLE covers concepts that you have learned throughout your medical school career, whether you attend the Medical College of Wisconsin or any other institute in the area. It is always beneficial to get a thorough review before taking a critical test, and Varsity Tutors can connect you with the help you are looking for. Whether you prefer to study alongside a private tutor or enroll in an online Milwaukee USMLE prep course, you can get the help you need to get a more thorough review than you might have if you chose to study on your own.
What concepts will Milwaukee USMLE prep cover?
The United States Medical Licensing Exam, or USMLE, is actually three exams or "Steps." Each Step tests different skills that are required in the medical field. Step 1 covers essential science topics that are involved in effectively practicing medicine. Step 2 has two parts: Clinical Skills, and Clinical Knowledge. Step 3 will assess if students have the medical knowledge and understanding of the required sciences that you will need for the unsupervised practice of medicine. Step 1 consists of 280 questions and is given in seven 60 minute blocks. Step 2: Clinical Skills has 12 patient cases, and you will be given 15 minutes per case to meet with the patient and 10 minutes to record each patient note. The Clinical Knowledge portion of Step 2 consists of 316 questions, given in eight 60 minute time blocks. Step 3 is broken into two days, with day one presenting around 233 questions and day two consisting of 180 additional questions.
During Milwaukee USMLE prep, you will want to cover both the format of the exam and the content. The USMLE will cover a plethora of topics, including the renal and urinary system, behavioral health, immune system, social sciences, and much more. Your Milwaukee USMLE prep instructor can also teach you strategies to complete the exam within the time limits.
What are some benefits of the different types of USMLE prep?
There are two kinds of prep that Varsity Tutors can help you get started with: private instruction or online courses. You can decide which option appeals more to your preferred learning style. Some students even decide to take part in both. Each option has its own unique set of benefits. No matter which option you choose, you will receive expert guidance from a qualified instructor.
If you enjoy working in a more traditional classroom setting with peers, you may want to enroll in an online Milwaukee USMLE prep class. These live classes are held on the Live Learning Platform, using an online whiteboard and video chat to enhance your learning experience. You will be able to interact with your peers and instructor as if they were sitting right next to you. This kind of study allows you to share your knowledge with your peers while also learning from them. However, if you find yourself needing extra help on a particular topic, you can always schedule one-on-one time with your instructor.
If you would prefer to study one-on-one, we can help you connect with a Milwaukee USMLE tutor. Studying with a private mentor allows you to spend time working on the concepts that you need to work on. Your USMLE instructor can create custom lesson plans that focus on your specific areas of need. For instance, you can go in-depth into the respiratory system if you need to, or skip over the endocrine system if you have mastered it already. They can use the teaching methods that you respond to in order to maximize the effectiveness of each session.
Now that I have learned about the benefits, how can I get started with Milwaukee USMLE prep?
Whether you opt for individual instruction or online classes, you will always be taught by an expert in the field. Each option allows you to fit sessions into even the busiest schedule. New classes start monthly, and tutoring sessions can be held in the evenings or on the weekends for added convenience. If you are curious about how expert Milwaukee USMLE preparation can help you, call today. Our educational consultants can answer your questions and give you more information to help choose the option that is the best for you. Reach out to Varsity Tutors today to get started; we are looking forward to meeting you.
