I'm a chemical engineering student at UMass Lowell entering my senior year. I've been inducted into the chemical engineer honor society Omega Chi Epsilon this past semester, and have been serving as its secretary since. I hope to use this tutoring opportunity to practice for the required tutoring service when I return to school.

I believe that people can learn anything if they work hard enough and have a good teacher. Relating subjects to a student's interests allows the student to be fully engaged and want to learn the material. From there, you can teach the student how to critically think through a problem so they can solve any problem or learn any material that comes their way.

My teaching is centered around creating connections between content and themes, as well as connections to the students' personal lives, current events, and other content knowledge or media. Learning, especially learning social studies, is most accessible to the student when it becomes relevant. I will work with you to find a door into whatever you are learning - whether it is geometry, history, anatomy, geography, essay writing, or any other discipline.

I tutor English (writing, literature), SAT prep, pre-algebra, and algebra. I am a current undergraduate sophomore at Harvard College majoring in biology. I also have some previous tutoring experience and I enjoy working with students.
