I graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies in 2018. Since graduating, I worked for over 5 years as an educator for youth and adults in schools and community based settings. In my professional career I developed curricula, assisted in program evaluation, and served as a community liaison. Currently, I am a first year Graduate Student in the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development at Tufts University. I am taking courses in Children's Media and 21st Century Literature, and seeking applied experience in the community as well as research opportunities.
My interest in working with youth stems from my desire to provide the education and spaces that I wish I had access to as a young person. My professional career thus far has helped me to establish my own values and philosophy for helping children. Both in my work, and everyday, I strive to make the world a safer place for children, and honor their needs.
While I have listed many subjects as potential areas of focus, I am most passionate about tutoring in Writing, Reading, Developmental Biology, History, and Civics.
