...Critical thinking, problem solving skills and the ability to analyze data is important for students to learn how to think rather than what to think. However, students must have a comfortable, respectful, and non-threatening environment in order to encourage learning in the classroom. I strive for a welcoming environment in the classroom and continually explore a wide variety of teaching approaches to accommodate students' diverse learning styles and to motivate them to connect with chemistry.

My goal is just to prove that everyone can be good at every subject and that your grades often do not reflect your lack of understanding. I've learned that often in my engineering degree, however, I refuse to let myself be discouraged. This mentality has been gained through four years of university and I'd love to help pass it on.
