I have been tutoring students in almost every level of mathematics up through second year college courses for about two years now. In this time I have worked with a wide variety of students from many diverse backgrounds and skill levels. I take each student's success seriously, and do everything in my power to present material in a clear and easy to understand way, emphasizing conceptual understanding above memorization. Mathematics is my primary passion in life, and I enjoy little more than sharing it with others.

I recently graduated magna cum laude from Hamilton College with a B.A. in Economics and Government, and I just finished my first year at Columbia Law School this past May. I ran several student organizations at Hamilton and gained a lot of experience teaching and mentoring younger students. I really enjoy getting to know my students and I like to bring a sense of humor to my lessons to help keep them engaged. I have tutored students ranging from 3rd grade to seniors in college and I have experience tutoring a variety of subjects, but my favorite subjects to tutor are Economics, LSAT prep, Government, Essay Editing, and Public Speaking. I also find advising on college or law school admissions really rewarding. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy basketball, football, hiking and the outdoors, movies, and cooking.

I enjoy teaching and I hope to continue having this joy by meeting some of you! I teach most effectively through one-on-one interaction. Thus, tutoring is my specialty in teaching. I can tutor in Math and Physics because I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Physics. During my undergraduate and graduate schooling, I taught Introductory Physics lab courses for a total of seven years and loved it. My love of teaching gives me the joy of helping students. As a teacher and a tutor, I am fun, patient, supportive, and professional. To make sure a student gets the most out of me, I adjust my teaching style so that it will align with the student's learning style. As a tutor, I hope to make your learning experience a fun one.Aside from tutoring, I am also passionate about the environment. I like to educate others about sustainability and do activities relating to it. Some of these activities include indoor gardening, learning about renewable energy, and ways to save resources.

I have extensive teaching and tutoring experience in mathematics. As a high school student, I was enrolled in my local community college where I tutored students in algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. In college, I continued to tutor students in these subjects. In graduate school, I served as a lab TA in which I taught students about electrical engineering and helped the students with their homework, labs, and projects. Currently, I am an electrical engineer designing the next generation of power management integrated circuits. I chose the field of analog IC design due to the confluence of device physics, mathematics, and art. Outside of my work, I enjoy classical music and physical exercise. I currently participate in obstacle course races.

I am a graduate of Gonzaga University. I graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration with concentrations in International Business and Entrepreneurship. I have been tutoring for almost 10 years now, with students that were in 1st grade, all the way up to college level. I have tutored primarily in math since that was always my favorite subject in school. In high school I took almost every math class available up to AP Calculus AB and BC, which I scored a 5 on both AP tests. Currently I tutor students for fun because I really enjoy seeing the progress that they make over our sessions together and I really love helping people.

I've been a teacher nearly as long as I can remember. I started putting together my first lesson plans when I was a babysitter, at the age of 13. Years later I set off to Arrowhead Ranch in Southern California, to teach science as an outdoor Naturalist. I taught Botany, Astronomy, Zoology, Ecology, Metrology, and Geology in accordance with State of California Board of Education Framework. I learned that science is not a cold, calculating endeavor. It's a joint effort between communities. It's an opportunity for people of diverse backgrounds to come together and combine their collective experiences to build a more educated, and more joyous world. With my strong background in education and science, I have developed a unique teaching style, which prioritizes positive feedback and easily adjusts for all types of learners. My hope is to share my knowledge and help students learn more about this incredible world!

I am a sophomore at Grove City College majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Though I have no formal experience tutoring, I have helped my fellow students on many occasions. I truly love helping people around me understand difficult concepts. I know that each student learns differently. From experience, I know I am able to alter how I teach dependent on how the student learns. For example, I have a friend who is not a visual learner. I was able to adjust my methods to accommodate her learning style. I have had the opportunity to learn from fantastic teachers. I have been able to learn many helpful tips and tricks to pass on to students. Not only would I be able to adjust my teaching style, I am also very patient and encouraging in my teaching style. There are a lot of difficult subjects that are really hard to understand. It's very easy to want to give up. I would not only teach the subject, but give the student the confidence to continue learning after the tutoring session.I look forward to helping you learn and grow in confidence.
