I graduated with both bachelor's and master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stellenbosch University, in Western Cape, South Africa - prior to moving to the US. I first began tutoring my peers in high school and enjoyed wrestling through the material with them in our efforts to improve their understanding of the content. I tutored again during my graduate studies, working mostly with 1st and 2nd-year university students, tutoring various mechanical engineering topics. Since graduating in April 2022, I decided to delve further into tutoring; teaching in various forms, typically but not limited to mathematics and topics in computer science (including Scratch, MATLAB, C, Java and Python programming). A saying that is popular in my country is "We rise by lifting others." Each time I work with students, I consider it a blessing to be a small part of their journey toward self-confidence and competence. I was assisted and mentored by amazing men and women before me, and I hope to pay homage to them all by doing the same for the next generation.
