If you're working toward your teaching certification, Varsity Tutors can set you up with Cincinnati Praxis prep. Depending upon the subject and grade level you'll teach and the state you live in, you'll want to review the knowledge you have gained from classes at schools like the University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, or another university in the area. Taking the Praxis exam may not be required as part of your teaching certification, but if it is, you'll want to be prepared for the different tests you'll take. A Cincinnati Praxis prep course or a private tutor can help give you a more comprehensive review than if you studied for these important tests on your own.
What are the concepts I can learn during Cincinnati Praxis prep?
Students working toward a teaching license may need to take various Praxis tests depending upon which state they live in. This exam measures their knowledge in the subject area they plan to teach as well as their academic skills. If you are required to take the Praxis tests, you may take the core test which is a comprehensive assessment about what you know in math, writing, and reading. You may also be required to take a subject area test or an elementary education test.
No matter what part of the Praxis you might be required to take, the tests are computer-based. All of the exams have no penalty for answering a question wrong, but the core exam is scored based on the questions you answer correctly. The Praxis Core test has three parts that may be taken either on the same day or on three different days. The Praxis Subject tests vary in length based on which test it is. The length of the test can run from one hour to four hours. Your Praxis instructor can share test-taking strategies to help you narrow down answers for questions you don't know.
What are the perks of the two kinds of Cincinnati Praxis preparation?
Varsity Tutors can set you up with two kinds of Cincinnati Praxis prep: online tutoring and group classes. Even though most students choose one kind of prep, a few students do participate in both. Both kinds of prep have their own benefits, but no matter which one you pick, you'll have an instructor who wants to share their expertise in the Praxis tests. Let's look at what each kind of prep does and how they can benefit you and your test review.
If you enjoy working with others, you'll want to consider taking a Cincinnati Praxis prep class. After you sign up, you'll meet your instructor and your classmates in an online classroom similar to a physical classroom. Your Praxis instructor will use our Live Learning Platform and will communicate with you and the other students through a video chat and a virtual whiteboard. Your class instructor will lead discussions on various topics covered on the Praxis exams. You'll be able to ask questions about things you don't quite understand, like geometry or probability. Your instructor might divide the class into smaller groups and assign in-class projects to help further your understanding of the material. If you find you're still struggling with a concept, you'll be able to ask your instructor for extra help outside of class.
If you prefer working one-on-one, you have the option of seeking a Cincinnati Praxis tutor. When you connect with a private instructor, you'll be able to work at your own pace through the material. You can choose how long you spend on a topic, such as analyzing a reading passage and answering questions. Of course, if you have a good grasp of certain topics, you won't have to spend as much time on them. You can ask your Praxis instructor questions to deepen your understanding of the material. After a few sessions, your instructor can understand your learning style and can make a plan for your future sessions. For example, if you're a visual learner, you might use flashcards or videos to reinforce what you're reviewing.
How do I get signed up for the Cincinnati Praxis prep?
Whether you enroll in an online group class or connect with a private tutor, you'll have a Praxis instructor who's ready to help you review for these important tests. You'll have no trouble fitting either option into your busy schedule since we offer flexible scheduling. If you would like to learn more about Cincinnati Praxis prep, contact Varsity Tutors.
