Varsity Tutors can help you find Ann Arbor NCLEX prep to help you reach for your score goals. The National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. develops and administers two nurse licensure exams: the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN). These two examinations are used by Nursing Regulatory Bodies to test entry-level nursing competence of candidates for licensure/registration as Registered Nurses and as Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses. We can connect students from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor or any other school with an Ann Arbor NCLEX tutor or enroll them in an online prep class. We can also help working professionals preparing to take the test with Ann Arbor NCLEX preparation.
What Can I Learn from Using Ann Arbor NCLEX Prep?
NCLEX prep can help you learn many different things about the test including the concepts that you need to understand to perform well. The NCLEX uses Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) to administer the exam. Students will want to take time to analyze each question carefully - once they submit an answer they can't return to that question. The number of questions that need to be answered varies per student, as they are generated based on your answers to previous questions. Candidates may be administered multiple-choice items as well as items written in alternate formats. These formats may include, but are not limited to, multiple response, fill-in-the-blank calculation, ordered response, and/or hot spots. All item types may include multimedia such as charts, tables, graphics, sound, and video.
The practice of nursing requires knowledge of the health needs of clients as well as an understanding of integrated processes fundamental to nursing practice. Client Needs are used as the framework for both RN and PN test plans. NCLEX test plans are updated every three years to reflect current, entry-level nursing competency. Client Needs categories and subcategories for both tests include Safe and Effective Care Environment, Health Promotion and Maintenance, Psychosocial Integrity, and Physiological Integrity.
How Can Ann Arbor NCLEX Prep Benefit Me?
There are two types of NCLEX prep that we can help you find: private instruction and online classes. Each type of prep offers its own set of benefits. Whether you choose one or both types of NCLEX prep to help you, you will benefit from preparing with an experienced and qualified instructor. If you choose to enroll in an Ann Arbor NCLEX prep class, you will attend online classes with a professional instructor and other students. You can benefit from group discussions and activities that can provide you with additional learning skills and techniques. In group discussions, you may also learn of different approaches other nursing students have used that they have found to be helpful. You can also learn to view concepts and situations from another person's perspective by learning in a group setting. If you are struggling with a certain concept, you may request a one-on-one meeting with your instructor outside of class time.
Some people learn better using a more personalized approach. We can connect you with an NCLEX tutor who you can meet with in one-on-one sessions. You may choose from online or in-person tutoring. Online sessions offer you the flexibility to learn from anywhere at a time that fits your schedule. You will interact with your instructor through our Live Learning Platform using video chat and a virtual whiteboard. If you choose to meet with your instructor in-person, you can choose a location that is comfortable and a time that is convenient for you. A private instructor can learn about your individual strengths, areas of opportunity, and personality. Using what they learn about you, they can make a learning plan based on your needs. You can also move at your own pace when you use private instruction. If you need to spend more time learning about communication and documentation, for example, then your instructor can provide that.
