About Me

I have a degree in Biomedical Engineering and am working on my Master's in Computer-Aided Engineering. I have over 4 years of tutoring experience, most of which were K-12 math and science over the phone or online chat. Over the last 6 months, I have worked one-on-one with students working on the ACT. I have also taught English to adults living in Costa Rica. In every setting, I use various methods and materials that are available to try and relate the material to the student's life. As a tutor, I love to inspire students and show them their own strengths to boost confidence. I like to follow my previous supervisor's tutoring motto, which was "We work to put ourselves out of a job," meaning my goal is to help you until you don't need my help. My job is to boost your confidence and skill in the material and show you how to do it on your own. Beyond tutoring, I am a full-time Master's student, and I enjoy Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
