Hello, my name is Diaab Nasir. I am a biochemistry graduate from Rutgers University in New Jersey. I followed a premedical path in preparation for medical school. I have been teaching and tutoring since my freshman year, and now have 5 years of experience in scientific and mathematical studies. I have been an educator for almost 30 years and have worked with children of all ages from kindergarten all the way to college and beyond. As a classroom teacher, I taught both elementary and high school. I am currently a high school counselor and the combination of all of my experience gives me a unique window into the world of education and college entrance. My experience, combined with my doctoral degree with a focus on learning disabilities, allows me a varied perspective while working with children. I work with the whole child and pride myself ion being able to meet each of my students where they are while pushing them to achieve more than they ever thought possible. As a mother of two children with dyslexia, I have seen first hand, the frustration and struggles that accompany learning challenges and I am here to help. In addition to my experience in education, I have also been writing for over 30 years and have had articles and poems published in multiple magazines and journals and have co-authored several medical journal articles related to food allergy and bullying and have also published two books about counseling and learning disabilities through Routledge Press.

My philosophy on education is to nurture the individual through my teaching and guidance. My goal is to build relationships with the students I tutor so that they will feel comfortable and learn everything they need help with. I look forward to meeting my future students that I will be tutoring!

My passion for teaching and tutoring began after I completed my first semester as a pre-medical student. At the time, I was majoring in Psychology and minoring in pre-medical sciences at Temple University. Being in such a rigorous program enabled me to bond with my classmates, who I would have the remainder of my undergraduate career, on another level of education: independence and trust. Each of us would gather after class and on the weekends to help each other study, or tutor each other in topics we didn't quite understand. This not only built my confidence as a teacher, but as a student. I'm a firm believer that anyone has the capability to learn anything - it's dependent on how driven you are as an individual to learn. Some things may not come too easy - this isn't something to feel inadequate about. We've all been there, myself included. If you have the passion to learn something in order to achieve a sought after goal, then you can. It would be my honor to serve as assistance to those who wish to learn more, solely because I am that person myself. Teaching and seeing the impact of understanding on my students' faces' gives me the utmost happiness. My ultimate goal is to become a physician - specifically orthopedic surgery or hematology!

I have taught physics classes at the college level for three years, and tutored math and physics classes for four years.I earned a BS in applied math from Pace University, an MS in applied physics from Columbia University, and I am now working on my PhD.Teaching and research are my passion, and I am always excited to explain a complex idea to someone.

My name is Rahath and I am currently a junior at Rutgers University - New Brunswick in New Jersey. I have taken the IBDP curriculum in high school and have experience in the curriculum. Currently I am majoring in mathematics and computer science. My passion for math and my helping nature has led me towards teaching. I believe that anybody can do well in a certain subject if they understand the concepts thus making learning easier and fun. My aim is to help my students understand mathematics and show them the beauty through real life applications as well as critical analysis. I hope to spark their interest and build on it thus making their math skills strong enough to take on any problem.

Hi! I am a Sophomore with Junior standing at New Jersey Institute of Technology studying Electrical Engineering. I am also in the Albert Dorman Honor's College.

I attended Saint John's University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in less than three years. I am an aspiring physician who is talented in others areas, not only science. I enjoy teaching most subjects, being most effective in English and math. When studying for exams, it is important to have patience and understanding while learning the material. As a medical student, I know what it takes to overcome personal obstacles, especially having taken numerous standardized exams. When I am not hitting the books, I love to use my free time to play tennis; being close with friends and staying healthy at the gym allows me to have a positive outlook. Commitment and a friendly relationship are something I would like to bring to the process - it would a pleasure to impart some skills I learned along the way to students who also have difficult goals to achieve.

I have been working in the area of Education since college, and have had private and corporate tutoring experience. For the majority of my professional career I worked for Pearson Education, the largest Educational publisher in the country. There I worked alongside teachers and professors to help write and develop some of today's most cutting edge educational texts and technology. While working at Pearson, I continued to consistently tutor after working hours and on the weekends, and continued to do so after leaving Pearson. I have experience tutoring in all areas of the English language, including ESL, essay writing, SAT reading and writing sections, general reading comprehension and all facets of the writing process.

I can be as flexible or as regimented as you like!For SAT preparation, we can go through practice questions from a resource of your choosing. I'm a firm believer in repetition and practice, so the more practice questions we do together, the better!For essay writing practice and English language tutoring, we can focus on whatever you need help with. We can go over the fundamentals of what makes a good expository essay and practice building out an essay from a simple, effective skeleton. I'm happy to teach grammar and reading comprehension at all levels!I have experience teaching SAT prep in the past and have a good grasp of the English language due to my time living in the US and my profession as a lawyer. I'm looking forward to working with you!
