I have been an educator for almost 25 years. I have always had a passion for teaching and helping students succeed in all aspects of their educational journey. I have taught elementary school for 9 years and high school remediation or tutorials for over 16 years. My favorite subject to tutor is anything Math related, followed by Spanish, Science, and English Language Arts. I would describe myself as a teacher that enjoys getting to know the needs of her students and works to provide them with the support needed in order to help them meet their needs. I work to provide students with lessons geared towards their learning styles and current level of academic performance.

I graduated with my bachelor's in education and master's in educational administration form the University of Texas at San Antonio. I completed all of my course work for my ED in Educational Administration at Walden University and am currently pursuing my Medical Doctor degree in the Dominican Republic. I am definitely a life-long learner.

I am also a native Spanish speaker and have taken upper-level college Spanish reading, composition, and literature classes, as well as pursuing my medical degree taking all college classes in Spanish.

During my time with Varsity Tutors, I have worked primarily with math, English Language Arts, and Spanish subjects. In math, I have spent most of my time tutoring in Algebra and Geometry. I have also done test-prep tutoring for various students with great results. My experience as a reading and math interventionist during my teaching career allows me to really gauge where students are and break down the skills they need additional assistance in so they can continue to make progress in their courses.
