I am a Masters student at the University of Maryland Global Campus. I have just a semester left to complete my Masters of Information Technology Management. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Law, and Societal Ethics. Since graduation, I have traveled extensively, and have visited over 20 states in the US.

My love for tutoring stems from teaching children of immigrants in Baltimore for the summer "YouthWorks" program; an initiative by the mayor to improve impoverished neighborhoods. I also volunteered on campus to teach adults looking to improve their English. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, IT, and History.

In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading that which enriches my life, hiking, evening runs, and the odd game of chess.

Hobbies

I’m passionate about reading and creative writing, as they allow me to explore and share different worlds through stories. I also enjoy solving puzzles and brain teasers, which help sharpen critical thinking skills. Cooking and baking are fun ways for me to experiment with new recipes while teaching practical math skills like measurements and fractions. Additionally, I love nature walks, where I can explore the outdoors and learn about the environment, making these experiences both educational and enjoyable. Finally, I’m a fan of using educational games to make learning engaging and fun for kids.
