For the last 3 years I have worked with students ages 3-12 in both online and in-person programs: I was a volunteer online tutor with Learn-To-Be where I aided under-served students in completing their core curriculums. I have also worked in-person with students in middle school theater programs where I assisted with costume design, student behavior, after school care, understanding artistic activities and group bonding. Most recently I taught art classes with Kidcreate Studios as a Lead Art Teacher. In the role I handled child care, group reading and self expression / learning through art.
Currently I am an in-person tutor to 2 siblings ages 7 and 8, grades 2 and 3 for math, english, writing and reading.

These teaching experiences are part of my passion of aiding students through tutoring. I seek to provide students with the opportunity to ask 'big questions' and build self confidence via ongoing academic support. I understand the difficulties that students and parents face while working to reach their highest potential and best support their young learners.

Currently I am completing a BA in English and Writing at Loyola University Maryland where I have consistently made the Dean's list for written work and grade performance. Additionally I am have expanded my my education into business and marketing which will allow me to work and tutor more successfully.

I tutor most core primary subjects including math, reading, writing/creative writing, English and French language. Additionally I provide homework help and essay writing support.
Of these, my favorite subject to tutor is English/writing as I have a love of story telling and analysis.

In classes I use a mixture of visual and auditory aids, including diagrams, posters and explanatory videos. I like to work though students challenges areas at a pace best fitting them. I believe it is key to adjust to students specific learning styles. Students are encouraged to ask questions and repeat challenging questions to build confidence.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy baking, photographing flowers, working with animals and writing poetry.
