Learning and education has always been a love of mine, even with learning disabilities.

I'm currently receiving my Masters degree in Museum and Exhibition Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to this I received two bachelors degrees from Baker University; a BA in History and a BS in Psychology with minors in French and Studio art.

During my time at Baker I took the chance to tutor both online and in person. I worked primarily with middle to college aged students. My specialties are history, psychology, drawing, painting, French, writing, and study skills. As someone who has issues with both dyslexia and dyscalculia as well as ADHD I'm fond of helping other students find their own love of learning with appropriate accommodations.

When tutoring I do my best to encourage critical thinking and understanding of how one learns. Learning is not simply something that happens it is something we do.

Hobbies

I love table top games! Whitechapel and Catan are perhaps my favourite; though I can never get enough of DND. I'm also a huge fan of video games of all varieties. I'm also rather crafty and have dipped a finger into almost every craft out there. My favourites are knitting, chrochet and embroidery! I'm also heavily invovled in community history and the arts. I have been since I was a teenager helping with various festivals, galleries, and events.
