I want to help you not only to succeed in what you do (reading, understanding, writing) but I also want to help you to improve your life -- even in a small way. I want to find out about you and discover your strengths, using those to direct and focus tutoring. I work best 1-1, but I have also tutored / taught whole classes before.

I earned the Bachelor of Arts in English and Bachelor of Science in Education from Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock TX. I earned the Master of Arts in English from Sul Ross State University in Alpine TX.

I tutor American Lit, British Lit, World Lit, genres, fantasy lit, myth, mythology, fairy tales, JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, writing, writing process, etc.

My favorite subjects are fantasy lit, myth, mythology, fairy tales, Tolkien and Lewis. Why? Those subjects / authors help me to understand life better and to think in a deeper way. They are also good reads.

My teaching philosophy is success and improvement. Let's take one step together. Too, I want to find out what you know so that I can better focus and direct tutoring and teaching.

I enjoy the Canadian rock group Rush. I've seen them live three times. I'm also into classic tv -- old sitcoms, old movies ( the older the better). I do some web design (although my sites are works in progress).
