Hello, I am Soumya, a Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science graduate with my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from JNTU, India and Master's Degree in Computer Science from Marquette University, USA. I have over 15 years of professional software development experience in IT industry working for various domains - Financial, Marketing, Media, Higher Education, Pharma companies to name a few. My core passion is Education. I respect and pursue education in all forms and all subjects. My second most dear passion is Teaching. This is because, I truly believe education can connect a being to their humanity and also to thrive in this world of opportunities both at the same time, they both do not have to be mutually exclusive. Thus, I learn and impart my learning by teaching to as many students as I can. It is my contribution to the world, to leave this place a little better than I found it.

I have been teaching since I was an Undergraduate student back in 2001 and I have taught in different contexts as private tutor, Teaching Assistant at University and also on tutoring platforms like this. I am passionate about teaching Computer Science from fundamentals to advanced level concepts to University level courses and also to help in cracking technology/programming interviews and I have over 15years experience backing my ambition.

I also am certified ESL teacher, because my second passion is English language and I believe that being able to speak in English will open wealth of opportunities in this world. I have also worked in Vietnam as ESL Teacher in local schools helping non-native speaking kids to learn and practice English.

My hobbies include - Reading, Writing, Teaching, Cooking and Traveling. I have travelled to over 55 countries thus far and I can speak 4 languages - English, Hindi, Telugu (all 3 with native level proficiency) and Spanish (conversational).

I am looking forward to teaching and helping as many students as I can and my style of teaching is to help students understand fundamentals and also to invoke their natural curiosity so that they know how to pursue knowledge, as it is a continuous process, and one that does not end in a class room.
