Besides teaching technical languages, I also teach English. As a TEFL/TESL instructor, I encourage automaticity, rewarding, self-regulation, and interactive principles of teaching. In order to promote automaticity, I make sure that a major proportion of classroom activity is focused on the use of language for purposes that are as authentic as a classroom context will permit. I try to make the learning process enjoyable, fun, and rewarding. I encourage learners to take risks and learn through mistakes. In order to encourage risk-taking, I create a safe and nurturing environment in the classroom. This can only happen if they feel genuinely inspired by the improvement made within the short period of a quarter and confident in their ability to learn more if they feel, in a word, empowered. I love teaching learners of all ages how to read, write, and speak in English. My approach is differentiated for each student, and I teach based on your unique needs.
