I am interested in tutoring students through Varsity Tutors. I currently work as a part-time instructor at a local college teaching chemistry. My teaching experiences began working as Teacher's Assistant in Chemistry classrooms and labs while earning a doctorate in Chemistry. I taught as a lead teacher and push-in special education teacher in Algebra, Geometry, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Biology high school classrooms. I have taught middle school science and mathematics. My current licenses to teach include Special Education and Secondary Education with endorsements in Science, Social Studies, Health, and Mathematics.
I am passionate about education and have continued my professional development through courses at local community colleges, as well as cooperative science and math workshops sponsored by PED Math and Science Bureau. I recently completed the Gifted program course set and will soon add the Gifted endorsement to my teaching license. I eagerly desire the chance to combine my experience and ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher, and make positive contributions to the Varsity Tutor system.
