As I graduated from university a little over a year ago, an opportunity to make use of my skills as an educator is too good to pass up. Tutoring appeals to me greatly due to its one-on-one nature. As I learned and developed over the course of my higher education, I found that I could help students best through small group or one-on-one interactions. It is a thoroughly rewarding experience to be able to develop rapport with a student and then see them succeed through their hard work. Helping students push themselves to succeed, is what drives me to succeed.
My time at Olivet Nazarene University was spent pursuing a degree in secondary education with an endorsement in the social sciences. This choice is largely due to my love for history. Ever since I was a young boy I have been absolutely enthralled by the events of the past. During college, this developed further with an interest in fields such as psychology and sociology. In short, my main interest is centered around people and their past.
In terms of my personal life, I do try to maintain a level of physical fitness and work out frequently to accomplish that. My hobbies include reading a good book and watching classic films. While I do thoroughly enjoy biographical works, my favorite author would have to be J.R.R. Tolkien. Overall, I try to be a well rounded individual and am always willing to try something new.
