I'm a recent graduate of the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pure Chemistry.

I've tutored on a regular basis since the start of my junior year in college, in topics ranging from language arts to mathematics for elementary to college students. I believe that the most productive progress can be made with the one-on-one interaction tutors can have with students. With this interaction, I can tailor my teaching methods and figure out a better way to explain a difficult concept. Being able to be a part of a student's learning progress and helping them reach their potential is very fulfilling. And seeing how a student can surprise themselves with their own abilities is the best thing a tutor can ask for.

For mathematics, I've taken up to Calculus BC in high school, and Multivariable Calculus at UCR. I understand the concepts, but I can also explain them using applicable examples. Really, math is like a language; you need to know the basics before you get speaking fluently. Math can be difficult, but it can be even more fun once you get it.

To me, chemistry is the perfect blend of science and math, which is great since I enjoy both! You can learn from the most basic atoms (don't trust them, they make up everything!) to the most complex proteins to applications in the real world. Chemistry is fun to learn, teach, and experience, so I try to make those random concepts as interesting and applicable as possible.
