I graduated from Beloit College in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Health & Society and Theater Arts. I have a passion for travel and foreign languages. While in college, I spent a summer in Costa Rica and an exchange semester in Argentina. After graduating from college I lived in Switzerland for 9 months. There, I tutored private clients in ESL, while also sharpening my French and German language skills.
I worked as a peer tutor at my college's tutoring center for four years and I was also a Teaching Assistant for 3 college classes.
I have always been a passionate learner and I love encouraging the students that I work with to have that same passion. No matter how difficult the subject matter, you can always find something in the material to get excited about, and that’s when real learning happens. I strongly believe that flexibility is a tutor's most important asset. I work with each student to figure out what approaches work best for him or her.
Outside of teaching, I am passionate about theater, yoga, running, baking, trapeze and aerial acrobatics.
