Tutoring review by Theodore in Pleasant Hills, PA
We covered the concepts of Polynomial Graphs: Zeroes, their Multiplicities, Intervals, etc. I taught the student advanced methods (from Calculus) to cover the work that needed to get done. The student is a very intelligent kid and his math skills are some of the best I've seen. Next tutoring session, I plan to use some videos for clarity and sample problems to help the student with his understanding.

The student and I looked through her geometry and physics homework. She did very well and showed a good grasp of the material. My only concern with her would be over her understanding of scientific notation and the need to watch unit conversions when doing physics problems. Otherwise, she's doing great!

Tutoring review by Scott in Pleasant Hills, PA
The student and I wrapped up the geometry section of his review book today, covering triangles, polygons, and circles. He seems to have mastered problems that involve difficult rotations. As we get closer to test day, which is now 5 weeks away, he needs to attempt longer practice sessions on a weekly basis, to build up his endurance. I'll be checking in before our session on Sunday, to make sure that daily practice is happening. He did a good job of practicing and coming with questions that had given him a hard time, so we were able to identify common problems across them. Overall, I found tonight's session productive and pleasant.
