Learning is a personal passion that happens to have positive professional consequences. I try to emphasize the application of abstract concepts, especially math, because it is incredibly useful in STEM but also can increase the value to you and provide an opportunity to use these concepts in your daily life. My hope is that I can be that vessel to anyone I tutor.

...'Ali'. I was born in Ethiopia and moved to the USA in 2000. I lived in Kenya for 2 years and Dominica, West Indies for 1 1/2 years. I had about 12 years teaching experience in middle school and college. One thing that I learned is that teach at student's level, not at my level. People easily forget how they learned when they were young, which cause the gap between a student and a tutor. For me, the most important thing of tutoring is to understand student's issue deeply and lead the student out of his/her mistaken perception of the course and himself/herself.
