If you're interested in taking your Tampa NCLEX preparation to the next level, Varsity Tutors offers two great services worthy of your consideration. First, we provide a comprehensive Tampa NCLEX prep course that allows you to review test-related concepts with a knowledgeable instructor and dedicated classmates at a set time each week. Alternatively, we can set you up with a private Tampa NCLEX tutor who can provide personalized attention as you work toward your goals. Both services offer a variety of benefits, and some opt for both in order to feel as prepared as possible on test day.
NCLEX is an acronym for "National Council Licensure Examination," the standardized tests required to earn a nursing license. If you hope to work as a Registered Nurse, you will take the NCLEX-RN. If you're working to become a Practical or Vocational Nurse, you will take the NCLEX-PN instead. We can help you prepare for either exam, so reach out to us today to learn more about how we can help you.
What topics should my Tampa NCLEX prep cover?
There is a lot of overlap between the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN, so you'll be studying topics such as patient comfort, infection control, promoting good health, psychosocial integrity, and pharmacological therapies regardless of which test you're studying for. If some of these concepts feel a little too abstract to you, your instructor can provide practical examples to help you understand them.
Many people also want to learn more about the structure of the NCLEX. Both exams use CAT (Computer-Adaptive Technology), meaning that the system selects each item in real time as a response to your previous answers. It can be easy to start to doubt yourself if you think you're getting easier questions, but worrying about the past will not help you. Instead, your instructor can teach you test-taking strategies to help you focus on the question in front of you.
What benefits does each of the Tampa NCLEX prep options available to me provide?
As noted above, we can enroll you in a Tampa NCLEX prep class or help you find a private instructor. If you choose to take a class, you'll meet on our proprietary Live Learning Platform for maximal convenience. It's mobile-friendly, allowing you to attend anywhere with a stable internet connection. Powerful features such as a virtual whiteboard and video chat functionality ensure that your study experience is just as effective as meeting in-person would be, giving you a great class without the hassle of a commute.
You can also see and hear your classmates on our platform, allowing you to work in a structured, collaborative learning environment as you pursue your goals. For example, let's say that you're having a hard time with the pharmacological aspects of your studies. One of your classmates can share a mnemonic device for which remedies treat which symptoms to help you remember it. Likewise, you can explain challenging concepts to your peers to help them out while building on your own understanding of the material. Studying in a group setting also delivers tremendous value for your money.
If you would rather receive personalized instruction, we can find you a tutor willing to work online or in-person. Online study sessions take place on our Live Learning Platform, providing all of the benefits of face-to-face instruction without the logistical headache of meeting up in-person. If you would prefer a more traditional study experience, you can meet at the D G Erwin Technical Center cafeteria, the University of South Florida's library, or even your own home to make the entire process as convenient as possible.
Regardless of where you meet, a private instructor can tailor study sessions to your unique needs. If you're a visual student, you might be provided with helpful charts to highlight microbiological concepts. If you're more of an auditory learner, your instructor can instead adopt a discussion-based format with plenty of oral repetition to stress key points. A kinesthetic learner can even engage in interactive activities during their study sessions for a more hands-on experience.
We also try to make all of our services as accessible as possible. For example, we offer multiple course sessions concurrently to make it easier to find one that works for you. Similarly, you are in complete control over when your private study sessions take place to mitigate any adverse impacts on your schedule.
Can somebody help me enroll in Tampa NCLEX prep?
Certainly. Expert Educational Consultants are currently standing by to answer any questions you have and point you toward the Tampa NCLEX prep service that best suits your needs. Contact Varsity Tutors either by phone or online to get the process started today!
