About Me

I am certified to teach Kindergarten through 8th grade, all inclusive, with majors in Integrated Science and Mathematics. I have taught as a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher in public education, taught Science and Nature Education through Montessori methods, have substitute taught all subjects K-12, and spent many hours in Special Education classrooms, working with exceptional students of all abilities. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about helping students make a connection between what they are learning and how it will help them in all areas of their life. I am a strong supporter of life long learning, believing it to hold the keys to our success and self efficacy, and I try to spark this love of learning in all my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, walking my goats on the mountain while foraging for fresh mushrooms, and enjoying nature's splendor.
