About Me

I am a graduate of The University of Alabama where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Finance (summa cum laude) and Master of Arts in Economics. I also am Eagle Scout and hold the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. I have worked and traveled the globe, including time spent in institutional money management at Citigroup and UBS in London, England as well as in entrepreneurial hedge fund management across America (CA, CT, AL). Along the path, I taught college-level finance classes to acclaim and CFA exam classes. I currently mentor several professionals and am tutoring one for the CFA Level 1 exam. I am also an expert in all aspects of the GMAT. I enjoy teaching the most when I see the light of understanding turn on in the student and not just academically but with real-world applicability whenever possible (especially regarding investing). I listen to the student's needs within the context of the exam in question, explain the complex in easy-to-understand terms, and seek feedback. In my other time, I engage in reading (mostly sci-fi), writing/speaking (articles/books) and arithmetic (manage hedge fund strategy). I am also an officer in Mensa US and serve on the board of the Spina Bifida Association of Northeastern New York.
