About Me

Mackenzie is a graduate of Monmouth University in New Jersey, where she received the highest honors for her BA in political science. She also has studied at the University of Oxford in England as an exchange student, where she received a 4.0 GPA for her time studying abroad in the subjects of Arabic and International relations. Mackenzie will be a certified secondary special education teacher in Hawaii as of June 2021 through Teach For America. For the last four years, Mackenzie has tutored students in both private and group settings. Mackenzie has extensive experience with tutoring students between the grades of Pre-K to 12th grade in English, reading, and math. She also has tutored students in both high school and college and teaches both SAT and ACT prep. Mackenzie's specialty is in both SAT and ACT prep, English (elementary level to college level), History, political science, and writing. She is extremely passionate about helping students both enjoy and succeed in their education. Mackenzie has been a tutor at Kumon learning center and has additionally worked as a teaching assistant at Monmouth University. Mackenzie also teaches reading comprehension, writing, and history at Blue Ribbon Academy for Youth Learning virtually in Chino, California. Mackenzie also has experience tutoring special education students including students with special needs such as dyslexia and other learning disabilities.
