About Me

I am a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering and have a Masters in Optical Engineering. I studied Mathematics and Biochemistry for my undergraduate degree. I am really passionate about math and tutored at an on campus facility for 3 years! I have been professionally trained and certified as a tutor. During my time as a tutor on campus, I helped students in subjects ranging from incoming freshman pre-algebra to help students prepare for college math to students in Calc 2. Since starting with Varsity in 2018, I have tutored students in high school from introductory algebra to pre-calculus and SAT prep. The biggest thing I've learned as a tutor is that everyone has a unique learning style and I was trained to be able to adapt to these different styles. Outside of school work, I love to go hiking with my husband and I am always in search of good food!! I have two adorable cats and a very cute dog. I have a love for all animals because I grew up on a hobby farm. I hope to help you soon!
