About Me

I am an English and Political Science major who graduated from Holy Cross in 2015. I am interested in tutoring because I enjoy working with people dedicated to improving in the classroom. I know from my experiences as a student that seeking help was one way I excelled in the classroom and gained the confidence to succeed in other areas of life. I am a dedicated teacher and someone who is always willing to listen. When I teach people, I ask many questions about what you are struggling with and adjust my teaching methods accordingly. My philosophy is to avoid simply giving you the answer and, instead, focus on your process of discovery and guide you to the right answer. I am interested in working with students particularly for the ability to improve writing. I never seek to change the content of what you write. Instead, I suggest ways you could enhance the form in which you convey your ideas passionately to the audience. I am skilled in teaching English, writing, history, political science and religious studies. Outside of the classroom, I am dedicated to community service opportunities and enjoy reading and playing sports. I love hockey in particular. In addition, I enjoy talking about movies and TV shows. I look forward to working with individuals who seek to discover the gifts they have and how they can best use those gifts to meet the needs of the world.
