Hello, My name is Themsen and I am currently a freshman at the Honors College at MDC. I love math and have always been able to understand numbers. In eleventh grade, I went as far as taking and passing AP Calculus AB. My love and understanding of mathematics have always driven me to try to help others. My hobbies include cooking, reading, and eating delicious food.

MIT student majoring in Physics and Math with a great passion for learning and teaching. I was born and raised in Cuba, and also lived in Spain before coming to the U.S. 3 years ago. In the last 2 years of high school I survived and helped others survived through learning a new language, 18 AP classes, SATs and ACTs and the college application process.

I started tutoring in 2013 when I moved to Florida. The state at that time was using Common Core and many students struggled just to keep up. Through tutoring I discovered how much I love teaching and decided to pursue a teaching degree in the mathematics field.
