Organic Chemistry Tutoring review by Max in Cleveland, OH
We covered his trigonometry homework. I gave him a basic set of rules to deal with any trigonometry problem, and he took that information and became a trig solving machine. He picked it up lightning fast.

Today we reviewed ecology by going over the student's take home reviews. We went over ecosystems, including biomes and climate; populations, including competition; dispersal; and foodwebs and communities, including reproductive strategies and K and r selection. We also reviewed commensalism. The student seems to have a pretty strong grasp of the material.

Organic Chemistry Tutoring review by Rikke in Cleveland, OH
We spent the first part of the session going over the material they had covered in class since our last session, namely more on the mole concept, molar mass, and mole-to-gram / gram-to-mole conversions. We also looked at the current homework assignment on molarity; specifically, he had been asked to create molecular views of a series of solutions by adding the appropriate number of dots (representing various numbers of moles) to drawings of containers of varying volume and read a few pages of text on solutions and molarity. In addition to going over the questions at the end of his reading assignment (not homework), I also started him on - and left him with - a handful of stoichiometry exercises. He has no trouble with conceptual understanding. I plan on continuing to provide extra exercises for him in the hope that more practice will improve his memorization.

Organic Chemistry Tutoring review by Josie in Cleveland, OH
We prepared the student for her upcoming physics test today. Her test is on combination circuits, so the whole lesson was spent finding voltage, current, resistance, and power in different aspects of the circuit. The student finished her homework from electricity number 10 and then used some supplemental questions that I had, dealing with combination circuits. The student did really well.
