What could a Minneapolis SAT Course help me review?
The SAT is composed of three sections: Reading, Math, and Writing and Language. There is also an optional SAT Essay that you may choose to complete. You are allotted three hours to complete the first three sections of the test, as well as an additional 50 minutes for the SAT Essay. The breadth of the exam necessitates refined test-taking skills and strong subject knowledge. The Reading section will test your comprehension and reasoning skills by providing you with written passages that may include tables, charts, or other graphics for you to analyze. You will be tasked with identifying arguments in scholarly articles, identifying relationships between texts and accompanying data, and inferring meaning from passages, among other things. You will have 65 minutes to complete 52 questions, meaning that you must read carefully and work efficiently.
The SAT Math section will allow you 80 minutes to answer 58 questions. This section is divided up into two parts, one of which you are permitted to use a calculator. You will be asked to solve problems involving linear equations and systems, utilize math skills to understand data and solve problems, and to illustrate your understanding of the structure of mathematical expressions. In order to succeed in this section, you must be able to solve problems quickly by identifying and using efficient solutions as well as demonstrate your grasp of math concepts, operations, and relations, among other things.
In the Writing and Language section, you will have 35 minutes to answer 44 multiple-choice questions that refer to written passages. This portion of the exam tests your skills in comprehension, English communication, and critical thinking. It is important to have a firm grasp on the conventions of written English as well as an aptitude for identifying key ideas and arguments within a text.
The SAT Essay will ask you to read a passage and consider the author's use of evidence to support claims made within the text as well as the stylistic and persuasive elements employed, among other things. Your essay will assess the author's argument in a critical manner. You will have 50 minutes to complete your essay.
