Class of 89 United States Air Force Academy. Graduated with a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Financial Management. I received my Master of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle. I believe the key to academic success is a mix of attitude, support, and the tools that work for the individual student. It is my firm belief that the Tutor needs to approach each individual student with the appropriate methods and processes that suit them best, and seeks to let them achieve their goals in a positive and growing experience. In my 23 year flying career, every sortie was an opportunity to learn. I also realized that I was training the pilots that would one day replace me. The training and instruction I gave was going to be a direct reflection on me. I took it as a huge responsibility and embraced it.
As a former ReadingCorps Tutor, I stand behind the statement "Learn to read, read to learn'. Learning is an experience and it should not only create opportunities, but should lead to self-worth and satisfaction.

I'm a huge history buff. Also enjoy useless trivia. Anything football and am blessed to have two nephews that are just starting athletics and are very gifted. Spend the weekends cheering them on in whatever sport they are playing at that given time. As a former fighter pilot, I like to talk with my hands. It's feature not a glitch. So if you want to learn how to win in a "Rolling Scissors", have a seat and I will talk way longer then I need to. I am an avid reader of books, but will sometimes watch a series on Netflix until the finish.
