I studied for my undergraduate degrees at Missouri State University, receiving simultaneous Bachelor of Arts degrees in German and Latin. I furthered my education studying Classics at the University of Kansas, receiving another Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and finally receiving my Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, both from the University of Missouri - Kansas City. As an undergraduate, I started tutoring with a program at my university. I worked with students from 18 - 50 in subjects such as Latin, Religious Studies, English Language Arts, and Basic Computer training. During my teacher training and after graduation, I taught students from 6th - 12th grades Latin, Etymology and German. I have taught English to non-native English speakers from 4 - 18 years old, in both Kansas City, MO and Seoul, South Korea.Though I tutor in myriad subjects, I am most passionate about Latin, English, and Social Studies. I am fascinated by how language, literature and culture are interwoven and how they affect those around them. I get really excited about learning/re-discovering things and subsequently about teaching those things to my students. I believe that education is the best way to expand not only your mind, but to improve your situation and quality of life.When I'm not teaching, I love to read, make jewelry, travel, watch Doctor Who and play with my cat, Oedipus. As a college student at the University of Virginia, I have explored many diverse topics and cultivated my interest in global studies, public policy, language, and history. I have a avid traveler, and m experiences have made me a understanding, patient, and diligent individual. I love to learn, and hope to help other students learn and discover their passions well.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. I moved to New York City to attend NYU, and graduated in May of 2013 with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science. Recently, I traveled through India, teaching Math and English to kids in the states of Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh. My favorite subjects are English and History, but I also enjoy Math and took a variety of statistics and calculus courses at the university level. I am planning on pursuing a Masters degree in the field of political science, and am hoping to stay on the east coast for school. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy running, biking, and exploring the culinary world of New York.

I graduated from St. Olaf College (a small college in Minnesota) and then taught middle school and high school social studies for six years. During my last two years, I started an AP US History course, which was the most rewarding course I had the opportunity to teach! Although I still enjoyed teaching, I wanted to continue to challenge myself so I started my own landscaping company. I still enjoy working with students, so I decided to mentor during the landscaping offseason!

I have a B.A in Political Science from UNC - Chapel Hill and I am currently applying to law schools. I tutor students in LSAT prep, SAT prep, History, Politics, and Geography. I have an Associates of Science in Nuclear Medicine from Santa Fe College, a Bachelor's in Anthropology from the University of Florida and a Master's in International Relations with a focus in humanitarian assistance and development from the University of Geneva.
