What could a Dallas - Fort Worth GMAT course help me to review?
The structure of the GMAT involves four sections: Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning. Integrated Reasoning, and the Analytical Writing Assignment. On test day, the order to which you are presented with these four sections may occur in three different test sequences, but the Analytical Writing Assessment will occur either first or last. A Dallas - Fort Worth GMAT course will help you to practice the skills to better succeed at the components included in each of these four sections. Let's break these four GMAT sections into their individual components to learn more.
In the Quantitative Reasoning portion of the GMAT, you will be given 62 minutes to answer 31 multiple-choice questions. With questions based on problem-solving and data sufficiency, this part of the exam will test skills such as the ability to solve problems using logic, the ability to answer multiple-choice questions, and the ability to perceive the level of data that is necessary to solve a problem.
The Verbal Reasoning section consists of 36 multiple-choice questions over the course of 65 minutes. Types of questions include reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and sentence correction. During this section of the GMAT, you will be assessed on your mastery of skills such as answering questions about passages, ability to form and assess arguments, and ability to identify the correct use of grammar and sentence structure.
In the Integrated Reasoning section, you will be given 30 minutes to complete 12 questions, which may require more than one answer. Types of questions in this section may involve table analysis, graphic interpretation, multi-source reasoning, which involves answering questions based on data from sources such as graphics and tables, and two-part analysis, which involves solving complex problems such as working through multiple equations and identifying relationships between two sources. The questions in this section of the exam test your ability to synthesize and evaluate data that is presented to you from multiple sources and formats and solve problems based on the data that is presented to you.
The Analytical Writing section consists of one computer-based essay-style question that asks you to read and analyze a specific argument. You will be allotted 30 minutes to complete the question. Some of the areas that factor into your score include analytical skills, organization of writing, the variation of sentence structure, and overall skills in written English.

I am able to determine what obstacles are preventing a student from grasping a concept, and create different means of overcoming those obstacles. Creating a partnership with the student and understanding what he or she needs to overcome is what makes me a great tutor. ... I would talk with the student and/or his or her parents to learn what each hopes to achieve from the tutoring sessions. I would ask what they've tried, what they liked, and what they didn't about their previous efforts. Then I would work hard to provide a good deal of value in that first lesson so that we can continue to work together.
